What makes it special: Squaw Valley is a place where extraordinary people come to test themselves and set new boundaries.
The story: "That morning the biggest storm of the decade cleared. We were the lucky ones, on top of KT22 at dawn filming for Warren Miller. I stood ready, marveling at the incredibly beautiful, buried state of our backyard.
On top of Eagle's Nest, Mike Wilson signaled that he was dropping in. Not satisfied with the predictable straight-line-to-air approach, he was dead set on laying down his unique signature line with a trick-air exit. He went for it and crashed hard. In classic "Squawllywood" style, he didn't back off. He rode back up the chair, climbed and skied The Nest again and again and again, but never stuck the landing. From Mike's perspective it wasn't perfect, but from my vantage point he took it to another level."
