The story:  "The interaction between father and son is a universal concept. As I walked down the street in India, I came across a man giving a lesson to his son. The general exchange of information had something to do with the weight and sale of grain, apparently his business. I couldn't really understand what he was saying, but the message and level of communication between father and son was very clear. There was a simple joyous look in the man's eyes as he taught the boy. In return the boy had a spark of curiosity and excitement from learning something new and important.

Eventually I was noticed, and the boy diverted his attention away from his father. The man became aware that he had lost his son's concentration and turned to see why. I continued on my way with thoughts of my dad, who was so very far away, and yet so close."
